Woman With MS Uses Voice Recognition Software To Write Her Novel

Here at Total Voice Technologies, we talk a lot about the benefits of voice recognition software like Dragon Medical Practice Edition 2. Normally, we talk about things like improved efficiency, or improved accuracy in medical records, or other things like that.

But the truth is, voice recognition software has many benefits that go well beyond simply improving efficiency at your medical practice. Namely accessibility.

Case in point, Sandra Boyle, a UK woman who suffers from MS who used voice recognition software to write her debut novel, “The Destruction of Innocence.”

Boyle began writing as a new year’s resolution, just looking for something she could do that wouldn’t require much physical activity. A year later, she had her first novel, which has already earned some rave reviews.

Without voice recognition software, Boyle’s accomplishment may not have been possible.

It just goes to show that with the right attitude, some perseverance, and the right technology, anything is possible.

Well done, Sandra! Here’s to many more great works!
